IDE connection


Most system board support two IDE connectors. Each IDE connector can run two drives ,so we will albe to connect up to four hard drives, CD-RWs, DVDs, etc. more drive capability can be done by adding an expansion card. Four drives are usually more than adequate for most systems .And the latest trend up to date is Sata connection(Serial Advanced Technology Attachment) which will totally replace IDE connection.
